Cancellation of a paid service order, which is a distance selling transaction, will be made in accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981 (“Consumer Protection Law”), and the provisions of this policy do not derogate from it.
The terms used in this policy shall have the definition given to them in our https://carmelhotel.co.il Terms of Use, which form an integral part of this policy, unless otherwise expressly defined in this policy.
Transaction Cancellation
In general, the customer may cancel a transaction to purchase services on the site, subject to and in accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Law 5741 1981 (hereinafter: “Consumer Protection Law”) and the conditions detailed below:
- You may cancel the purchase of a service within 14 days from the date of the transaction or 14 days from the date of receipt of confirmation of the order for the services, whichever is later, provided that the date of cancellation of the transaction falls within seven (7) days, which are not rest days, prior to the date on which the service is to be provided. Cancellation will be made by the means detailed below in the chapter “How to cancel a transaction.”
- In accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Law, if you choose to cancel the transaction for any reason other than one for which cancellation fees may not be charged under the Consumer Protection Law, you will be charged a cancellation fee of 5% of the price of the service you purchased or 100 new shekels, whichever is lower.
How to cancel a transaction
You can give notice of cancellation of a transaction for the purchase of services on the site at any time, in one of the following ways:
- By filling out a transaction cancellation form on the website.
- By canceling the service on the “Account Management” page on the website.
- By sending an email to the address office@hotelcarmel.co.il
- By sending mail to the address: 1 Michael Street, Haifa.
- Orally, by telephone or by verbal message at our place of business.
For the avoidance of doubt, failure to use a service purchased on the site will not constitute a transaction cancellation notice.
Transaction cancellation for consumers with disabilities, senior citizens, or new immigrants
A consumer with a disability, a senior citizen or a new immigrant may cancel a transaction before the end of the billing period, within four months from the date of making the transaction or from the date of receiving the transaction details, whichever is later. Such cancellation shall be made during the billing period, and in accordance with the provisions of Section 14C1 of the Consumer Protection Law, provided that the transaction engagement included a conversation between the customer and us, including a conversation via electronic communication.
Change in Cancellation and Refund Policy
We may, at our sole discretion and subject to compliance with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Law, change this policy at any time and effective from the publication of the updated policy on the site, with or without sending additional notice. You can regularly check the information published on the site in order to receive timely notice of such changes. In the event of disagreement with the updated policy, you must immediately discontinue use of the site. Continued use of the site after the publication of the updated policy as aforesaid (or other notice) means acceptance and agreement to be subject to and bound by the terms of the updated policy.
